Bruce Martin

It's hard to imagine that so much time has passed since I last visited Chanco.  The only stories that I hear of Chanco now are from a niece who attends every summer and who hopes to someday serve on staff as a counselor.  It's nice to know that the Chanco experience inspires as much excitement in this generation of Chanco campers as it did my generation.

Currently, I am living in Athens, Ohio, with my wife and two daughters.  I am a faculty member in the Recreation Studies program at Ohio University, specializing in Outdoor Recreation and Education.  Prior to Ohio University, I taught for four years (2002-2006) at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado, and for two years (2000-2002) at Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska.  I'm glad to have made my way back east.  My family and I are now only a few hours away from some of my old haunts in West Virginia and only a few more hours away from family and friends in Virginia.

I hope to see my old Chanco pals before too much more time passes.  I remember you all fondly.
