This is so exciting!  I have been thinking about Chanco and all the people I've known, and wondered where you all are, and what's going on, and how I can get back to visit, but I didn't know about this website until today!  I was a camper from 1987-1991, then was a sailing instructor with Will Cline in 1992, taught sailing and did some out trips (Mariners, Grand Adventure, New Horizens) in 1993 and 1994.  I think college (VT) stress got the best of me the last year and I got a "real job" over the summer.

I went on to get my BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, worked for a while for public utilities, got married to a wonderful guy named John Miller (who never went to Chanco but respects my attachment), and quit working when our son was born in Nov. 2003, with the intention of only taking a year or two off to raise my son.  I have been a "stay-at-home mom" ever since, but we are hardley at home (too much to see and do)!  I am now teaching Emergency Medical Technician- Basic (the bottom level of EMT) for Hanover Co, Va, and J. Sargent Reynolds Community College (part time) while volunteering as a paramedic/firefigher with Hanover.  I would like to be spending more time at my parents place on the Chesapeake Bay (Reedville) and yes, my 4 year old son, Isaac, is learning how to sail, tie knots, and swim!  I think the best job I've ever had is the one I'm not getting paid money for, but who gives me a big hug and says, "Mom, I love you."  I can't wait for him to be old enough to go to Chanco.

We live in Mechanicsville, VA, and would love to get together with anyone in the area one day!
